Supporting local workers and their communities is a core mission to the Ford Motor Company Fund, the patronage branch of Ford. To better support the families that provide robust work ethics to the company, Ford Fund is partnering with multiple nonprofit organizations to address transportation issues in their plant communities.

In Detroit, Michigan, Ford Fund has partnered with the "Ride United" program, which helps Detroit drivers recover suspended licenses, make required car repairs, and purchase new vehicles.

Ford Fund is also investing $600,000 in Foenix – Mobility Rising. This organization will be creating new programs, such as a 'Grocery Express" program in Detroit to help people get to and from local grocery stores, and a new Transportation Assistance Hub in West Tennessee to help connect individuals to current transportation resources, as well as upgrading other transportation resources in nearby rural communities.

In the future, check in on the progress Ford Motor Company Fund is making with their investments, and how these investments are benefiting local communities.
